Directors:
PHIL LOUNDER CPA, MNIA, FTIA, BA (Acc)
Phil started his career working for the Shell Oil Company where he moved through the ranks whilst studying towards his accountancy degree. He left the company as the State Accountant after deciding against relocating to Melbourne, which allowed him to continue with his football career in South Australia.
Subsequently Phil then purchased into a Kangaroo Island practice, where over a 2½ year period the client base was doubled. He then sold out of the business to move back to Adelaide to continue to build his practice and ultimately merge with O'Brien & Co to become PDK Financial
The business rapidly expanded and within 6 months they moved into bigger premises at Sturt Street and changed the firms name to Sturt Street Accountants.
Phil had a decorated career in the SANFL playing for North Adelaide & Central District where he won a Reserves Magarey Medal. Phil continues his involvement in football by serving on the North Adelaide Football Club Board as the Finance Director, helping to steer NAFC from extinction to financial strength over the past 8 years. He has also joined the board of Adelaide United FC to assist in making in the club financially viable. He continues to play baseball in the summer months and is the president of the East Torrens Payneham Baseball Club.
JAMES ALEXANDER CA, FTIA, A FIN, BA (Acc)
James is a Chartered Accountant (with over 25 years experience in public practice) and is a Fellow of the Taxation Institute of Australia. James' area of expertise is Tax and Business Services with a strong knowledge of fringe benefits tax and GST. He maintains a hands on approach with his clients and focuses on forward planning and strategies for building wealth.
Further, James has completed his post graduate certificate in Financial Planning via the Financial Services Institute of Australasia which allows him to discuss future wealth creation and risk management strategies.
James also has extensive knowledge of the motor industry having worked as a senior consultant in this area for over 7 years. He also spent over 2 years in Chicago managing a multi-million dollar United Nations war reparation contract for the Middle East.
James is married with 4 children and is a strong long standing supporter of Norwood Football Club.
DARRELL O'BRIEN FIPA, FTIA, BEc (Acc)
Darrell O'Brien was a founding partner of PDK Financial when established in 2003. Darrell has a vast amount of experience in the Accounting profession, with him operating his own firm for in excess of 30 years.
Darrell has an extensive knowledge in the areas of Hospitality, Medical, Motor Vehicle Operations, Real Estate Agencies and Sports/Community Clubs.
A former administrator of the successful Adelaide Film Festival, Darrell has been a director for the Central District Football Club for 25 years.
